Terms of Service

1. The service

DotRun accepts ready-to-publish static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and supported assets. DotRun does not execute user-supplied server code, package installation commands, build scripts, or arbitrary shell commands.

The service is in private beta. Features, limits, URLs, retention periods, and availability may change as the product is tested and improved.

2. Accounts and anonymous use

You may publish anonymously where that option is available. Anonymous project management depends on a secure browser session. Clearing cookies or losing that session may remove your ability to update or delete the project.

Registered accounts use email-based authentication. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for activity performed through your DotRun session.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant DotRun a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, repair, copy, cache, and publicly deliver that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions required to publish the content and that it does not violate law, third-party rights, or the Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Safe repair

DotRun may apply limited technical fixes such as path normalisation, metadata insertion, document structure fixes, and other publication-related repairs. DotRun is not intended to redesign your website or guarantee that every generated project will work exactly as expected.

5. Prohibited use

You must not use DotRun for phishing, credential collection, malware, illegal content, impersonation, infringement, deceptive activity, abuse, denial-of-service activity, or attempts to bypass platform security. Additional rules are listed in the Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Limits and expiration

Projects are subject to plan limits for project count, storage, files, traffic, updates, and lifetime. Anonymous projects may expire after 24 hours, and free-account projects may expire after seven days. DotRun does not promise permanent or “forever” hosting.

Expired, disabled, or deleted projects may become unavailable immediately and may later be removed from active storage and backups according to the applicable retention schedule.

7. Moderation and removal

DotRun may inspect automated safety signals, investigate abuse reports, restrict a project, disable access, preserve evidence, or remove content when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, third parties, or comply with legal obligations.

8. Availability and warranties

DotRun is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis during beta. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free repair, compatibility with every browser, preservation of every project, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Keep your own copy of source files and important project data. DotRun is a publishing service, not your only backup location.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DotRun and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from use of the beta service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version and changing the “Last updated” date. You may stop using DotRun at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or operation of the beta.

11. Operator and contact

DotRun is currently operated as an independent private-beta project. Legal, privacy, and abuse requests can be submitted through the Report Abuse page. Additional registered-business details will be published before paid services are offered.

12. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by laws applicable to the DotRun operator, subject to mandatory consumer and data-protection rights that apply in your place of residence.
